Contractors All Risks Insurance

If you are an employer or a contractor, Contractors All Risks insurance (CAR), incorporating Plant and Machinery, and Contract Works, protects you against your responsibility for loss or damage on any building site you work on. Typically, it provides cover for the cost of physical loss or damage to building works, installation and constructional plant and machinery including hired-in plant and tools.

We work closely with you at every stage of your contract to ensure the correct cover is in place, from project initiation and pre-contract questionnaires. This way we gain a thorough understanding of your contractual obligations and the extent of cover needed through the works process, including Design Exclusion (DE) clauses. Where necessary we can also provide Public Liability insurance and Engineering Insurance.

Our relationship with insurers means we can arrange customised policy wordings to ensure suitability and quality of cover. For example, although existing structures are generally excluded, we can get the cover written back in for you.
